Beloved husband of the late Lillian Geither; Loving father of David Geither (Sue), Debbie Lesczynski (Dan), Lynn Erney (Jeff), Cindy Weiss (Terry) and Ron Geither (Gina); Dear grandfather of Scott (Esra), Katy, Kim (Konner), Greg (Garima), Danielle (Craig), Mark (Libby), Michelle (Brandon), Kelly (Scott), A.J. (Lacey), Laura (Brad), Matt (Nicole), Alec, Joey and Sean (Leah); Beloved great-grandfather of Mason, Morgan, Henry, Cooper, Hunter, Evelyn, Ashton, Quinn, Bryce, George, Parker, Hayes, Summer, Cody, Sawyer, Emerson and Cloud; Uncle, cousin and friend to many. John is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Connie and his brother, Robert Geither (the late Donna); Uncle, cousin and friend to many.John was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and was raised with one older brother, Robert, who was his best friend throughout his life. He joined the Air Force after graduating and served in the Korean War as an Air Force bomber pilot. He flew 91 missions before returning after the war, where the love of his life (and neighbor) Lillian was waiting. They were married in 1953 in a double Wedding with his brother Bob and wife Donna. He attended Cleveland State night school and graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1960. His career started at a Addressograph Multigraph and he retired from Picker X-ray in 1995. After retirement he had plenty of time to Volunteer and enjoy his many hobbies, which included birding, fishing, traveling, canoeing, camping, woodworking, reading, gardening, painting, drawing and stamp and coin collecting! He loved taking pictures everywhere he went, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, grandkids and many friends and neighbors! Our dad was a man that never let the grass grow under his feet. While losing him leaves a hole in our hearts, we find comfort in the amazing legacy he has left behind and through the lessons he taught, the love he gave, and the memories we will carry with us forever! Love you always and miss you dearly Dad! You will be in our hearts forever!!!
