November 12, 1959 March 6, 2026

Vincennes, IN

John C. Schulze, 66, passed away peacefully at his home on March 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on November 12, 1959, in Vincennes, Indiana, John was the son of William “Bill” and Selma (Deem) Schulze. He graduated from Rivet High School in 1978 and from Vincennes University in 1980. On July 29, 1989, he married his best friend, Jody Harrison, and together they created a loving blended family centered around Breeze, Laura, Eric, and Quinten.

A devoted husband and steady, guiding father, John was also a proud and affectionate grandfather. A lifelong member of Saint Francis Xavier Parish, he lived with quiet faith, humility, and strength. He worked as a skilled Tool and Diemaker, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and strong work ethic, and continued until his diagnosis with ALS, which he faced with courage and dignity.

John’s greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren—attending their activities, sharing stories, and simply being together. Family vacations to Kentucky Lake held a special place in his heart, filled with laughter and memories that will be treasured always. He is remembered for his love, faith, hard work, and deep devotion to those he held dear.

He is survived by his wife, Jody; their children: Breeze (Terry) Johnson of Vincennes, IN; Laura Schulze of Evansville, IN; Eric (Nettie) Wilson of Fortville, IN; and Quinten Schulze of Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Jake, Vance and Luke Johnson, and Ben and Eli Wilson; sister, Sara Joseph of Santa Barbara, CA; and brother, Bill (Noel) Schulze of Highlands Ranch, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Laura Schulze and Jean Schulze.
