John Brindley

November 22, 1947 February 25, 2026

Waupun, WI

John Robert Brindley, 79, of Waupun passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

John was born on November 22, 1947 in Black Earth to Ethan and Elizabeth (Roberts) Brindley. He grew up working on the farm. John received his Associates Degree in Business and served in the United States Army. After his time in Black Earth, John resided in Madison, where he became a landlord. John had apartments on Allied Drive and Worthington Avenue, where he restored buildings to make them better. He was a private landlord that would always help and be there for people. After a while, John decided to sell those buildings, and purchased duplexes and apartment buildings in Sun Prairie. John truly lived life to the fullest. Through simple pleasures, helping others, and raising his two children; Ana and Brindley.

John enjoyed working; He loved fixing his buildings up and keeping them nice for his tenants. John enjoyed raising his two children and involving them in swimming lessons, basketball, football, choir and much more. He loved spending time with his kids, and enjoyed taking them out on the lake and to the Wisconsin Dells waterparks. John also enjoyed skiing, and was a very active man.

John is survived by his children, Ana Brindley, Sam Brindley.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ethan and Elizabeth (Roberts) Brindley.

John requested there be no funeral and the family will be respecting those wishes. A celebration of life will be planned.

“The loss of my father will always sting, but now everything that I do is in honor of him and celebrates his life.” Dad, you were the best father a daughter could ask and pray for. You were and still will be my hero, the strongest man I know. Dad, you taught me strength, and how to face life challenges and I thank you for that. I will miss you so much, this will never get easy, but I will to learn to cope with it. I will continue to make you proud, your guiding hand on my shoulder will remain with me forever. Dad, you are the only one who was there for me at my lowest, and never judged but were always just there. You will forever live through me, your favorite daughter. I love you so much, may you rest in peace – Ana Brindley
