He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bovee Dods III and Zada Lucinda Hofheins Dods; his wife Judy Ann Dods; his siblings, Louise Bovee Dods, William Bovee Dods and Paul Bovee Dods; his daughter Gidget; and his stepchildren, Shane Udell, Eddie Udell and Scott Rowley.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Deborah Nielson, Trina McCleary (Rob), Debbie Barnett (Dave), Troy Rowley and Rich Peterson (Duane); and his stepdaughter-in-law Sung Eun Rowley. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Viewing will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1380 W 6785 S, West Jordan, UT 84084). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Memorial Mountain View Cemetery (3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121).
