John Ballard Adkins

John Ballard Adkins, age 53, of Beaver, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the UK Medical Center. Born on July 27, 1972, he was the son of the late Ballard Wayne Adkins and Margie Louise Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two special brothers, Bryan Howell and Jim Allen.

John served for many years as a TRP Supervisor for Mountain Comprehensive Care. He is remembered as a devoted husband, father, and family man whose love for his wife, daughters, and those closest to him defined his life.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Johnson Adkins; two daughters, Savannah Lynn “Leonard” Adkins (Jacob) and Briannah Leigh Adkins Deel (Blake); a grandchild on the way; a sister, Delania Adkins; a brother, Vince Adkins (Chasity); his uncle, Norman Adkins; his mother-in-law, Carlene Johnson; his nieces, Kaylee, Maddie, Kate, and Blake “Weet Weet”; and his beloved pets, Amber, Sam, Cocoa, Salem, Bitty Bitty, and Paige.
