With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John B Riede of New York, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2026 at the age of 83. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his parents-in-law, Marie and Edward D'Angelo; his siblings-in-law, Donna and Sal Imburgia; his sibling's children, Lori Tietjen (John), Bobby Riede, Billy Riede, Robert Imburgia (Jessica), Michael Imburgia (Gina), Nicholas Imburgia, Samantha Dunlop and Brandon Dunlop; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Juliana Imburgia, Sophia Imburgia, Rose Imburgia, Oliver Dunlop, Salvatore Imburgia, Carmine Imburgia, Michael Imburgia and Lorenzo Imburgia.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Matthew Funeral Home (2508 Victory Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10314). A Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the St Joseph St Thomas Church (6097 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10309). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cemetery of the Resurrection Sharrotts Rd Staten Island.
