John Anthony Sprouse, known affectionately as Tony, age 56, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on April 9, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to John B. Sprouse and Wilma (Sparks) Sprouse, Tony was a 1987 graduate of Morris High School and later earned his degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
He spent much of his professional life in the hospitality industry, serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for Holiday Inn. Colleagues and friends remembered him for his professionalism, natural leadership, and the warm, positive energy he brought to every interaction. Deeply rooted in Oklahoma, Tony maintained close ties with his extended family while making his home in Aurora, Colorado. He was a member of the Morris Fuller Lodge, where his commitment to community and fellowship was evident.
Tony is survived by his father, John B. Sprouse of Dewar, Oklahoma; aunts Marilyn Sprouse, Gayla Anson, Debra and Lloyd Cobb, and Omega Carson; and many cousins and extended family members. He is also survived by special family members Sherry Whitlow and Mike, Gary Sparks and Lynn, and Jeff Sparks and Amy, along with Kelsey and Aubrey Kossakowski, Kelly and Sherry Ingold, and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Sparks Sprouse.
Tony will be remembered for his warm personality, his steadfast dedication to family, and the many genuine friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
