His memory will be forever cherished by his loving family and friends.Pastor John A. Dosunmu, ALA, MSLSPastor John Adetunji Dosunmu was born on February 20th, 1935 in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria, to the ruling houses of Princess Adepate Adeoniye Tella of Ilaro, and Prince Benjamin Okelana Dosunmu of Abeokuta. He came from a blended family of many siblings from both parents. A kind-hearted, compassionate, and deeply religious man, he lived his life with integrity, discipline and purpose, with an undeniable love for family and the Church in general.He taught Sunday school at Yaba Baptist Church in the early to mid 70's where he met and married Janet Olubunmi Dosunmu and together they birthed a girl, Adefunke, and 2 boys, Oluwaseun, and Adewale. He later joined Christ Gospel Apostolic Church and was ordained an honorary pastor in December 1977, and served faithfully in different capacities alongside his fulltime job.He was a dedicated Librarian who served for 35 years at National Library of Nigeria under the Ministry of Education, a career which afforded him the opportunity to travel to many, many countries to establish and solidify Library relations with Nigeria. He retired after 35 years as a civil service director in 1992, and thereafter joined the Nigerian Conservation Foundation [NCF] Ikoyi as Director of Finance for a few years, after which he went into full time ministry. He founded a church, Christ's Salvation Evangelical Mission in 1996 as well as a charitable Nursery & Elementary school. He retired from all active ministry and charity work in 2006.He is survived by his children, their spouses, 8 grandchildren, a sister, 2 brothers, many beloved nieces and nephews and a lot of adopted children all over the world.
