John met and married Frances Katherine Garrard Keim in 1961 and they moved to Monroe, GA in 1964. While in Monroe, GA John traveled to Athens to continue his education. He graduated from UGA School of Business in 1973. John and Frances moved to Snellville, GA in 1971 where he continued his banking career. In 1991, they relocated to Lavonia, GA. They sold their lake house on Lake Hartwell in 2004 and moved to Chestnut Mountain, GA and into Royal Lakes Golf and Country Club.John was an executive officer with various Gwinnett County banks and moved to Franklin County in 1991 where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer to Northeast Georgia Bank. He retired holding that position in 2001.John is survived by his daughter Katherine Keim White (Don) and her two children Justin White (Brooke) and Elizabeth White Westmoreland (Bryce) and four great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Frances, his son John Adam Keim III, and his sister Joan.A graveside service for family will be held in Columbus, GA at a later date.In lieu of flowers please make donations in John's memory to Eagle Ranch or Greater Atlanta Christian School. John will be dearly missed but forever celebrated for the light he brought into the lives of those around him.
