John Austin Pardee, 61, a resident of Clermont, entered eternal rest on March 15, 2026. Born in Lansing, MI, he was the beloved son of the late Charles W. Pardee and Enda G. Fisher.John had numerous hobbies including fishing, playing chess, researching genealogy, and studying history. Above all, he loved music, and relished playing music with the guitar, bass, mandolin, and ukelele. He was a dedicated member of the Lake-Sumter Chapter Sons of the American Revolution, Florida Society of the Sons of the Revolution, Florida Society of the War of 1812, Order of Founders and Patriots of America, James Chilton Colony of Mayflower Descendants, and served as Past Camp Commander of Camp 5 of Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.Those who knew him are aware that he didn't shy away from being his genuine, true self, and through his honesty, he built a group of friends with the best character who became his greatest support in life. John often said he felt truly blessed to have met his lifelong best friend and devoted partner, Virginia, with whom he shared 33 beautiful years of love and marriage, and to have fathered three children: Paul, Miranda, and Julia, each of whom he loved deeply and was immeasurably proud of. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Carpenter, Charles Pardee, and Robin Pardee who will cherish his memory and carry his love with them always. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Sharon Lotsbiach.John Pardee was a man treasured by his family and friends, and he will be sorely missed.
