Joel Tozier

Joel Tozier, 78, of Belfast, passed away on March 6, 2026. Born on June 23, 1947, he lived a life defined by quiet service, hard work, and a deep devotion to his family.

Joel proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1969. Upon returning to civilian life, he worked for Irving Oil for thirty years, where he earned the lasting respect and friendship of his colleagues. In his younger years, he was a gifted baseball player who helped lead the Searsport team to a championship and a memorable trip to Fenway Park. A lifelong Boston Red Sox fan, he also found great joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his son Jason and companion Ashley, grandchildren Hope, Hannah, and Faith, great-grandchild Wesley, brother Oscar, sister Janice, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with his special friend Rose. Joel was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Jennie (Taylor) Tozier, his beloved wife Beverly, and several brothers and sisters.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, and the stories and traditions he leaves behind. A private celebration of life will be held this summer.
