Born on February 25, 1945, in Washington, D.C., Joe lived a life marked by dedication to his loved ones and service to his country.After graduating from Massanutten Military Academy, Joe embarked on a distinguished 22-year career in the United States Navy, where he served with honor and integrity. His commitment to his duties was matched only by his devotion to his family.Joe cherished spending time with his beloved wife, Connie J. Croom, who preceded him in death after 49 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as watching television, enjoying a refreshing Pepsi, and observing the birds, squirrels, and ducks that graced his surroundings. He valued connecting with his family above all else.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe N. Croom Jr. and Nell F. Croom, and his sister, DiAnne F. Croom.Joe is survived by his daughter, Trisha Croom, his son, Joe Croom, and two grandsons who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon S.
