TRUMANN - Joe H. Hillis, 92, of Trumann, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at Quail Run Nursing Home in Trumann. He was born in Reydell, AR, and lived in Trumann most of his lifetime. Joe was retired from Massey-Ferguson Farm Equipment and was a member of Parkview Missionary Baptist Church. Joe served on Trumann City Council and loved to fish.He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene Hillis; one son, Joey Raymond Hillis; six brothers, Wayne Hillis, Ed Hillis, Tommy Hillis, Charley Hillis, Ronnie Hillis and Ocie Hillis; one sister, Nora Maye HeBear and his parents, Thomas and Arlow Sanders Hillis.He is survived by one son, Eddie (Jennifer) Hillis of Brookland; four brothers, Jimmy Hillis, Doyle Hillis, Chip Hillis and Frank Hillis; five sisters, Pauline Johnson, Sharon McClure, Linda Herren, Mary Jane Stacy and Barbara Cervenka; two grandson, Jordan (Hannah) Hillis and Dustin (Kayla) Hillis; and six great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Jordan Hillis, Dustin Hillis, Alec Hietanen, Anthony Renshaw, Shannon Montgomery and Tanner West. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Hillis, Jake Hillis, Jimmy Montgomery and Troy Cox.The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Frank Hillis and Rev. Miles Evans officiating.
