He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Greene and Martha Leona Woodyard Greene; and his siblings, Nora Southerland, Henry Greene, Clarence Greene, Thelma Davis, Nellie Yates, Leola Peters, Virgil Greene, Iva Stapleton, Lillie Mae Sevier, Isom Greene, Jr., Dora Baczyk and Marie Housley.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Greene; his sons, Rev. Eric J. Greene (Hannah), Bennett (Devin) and Rev. Bryan Greene (Autumn); his grandchildren, Alex Greene, Wesley Greene, Elliot Greene, Landen Greene, Devin Bennett, Jr., Aubrey Bennett, Madalyn Bennett and Mckenzie Bennett; and his nephews, Robert Housley and John Baczyk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
