Joe Cox

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joe Cox of Cochran, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Addie Bell Williams; his brothers, Woodrow Wilson Cox and Charles Williams; his nephew Charles Richard Cox; Penn Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen Cox; his daughter Kim Raffield (Ronald); his granddaughters, Avery Raffield (Timothy Hunter Bracewell) and Haley Raffield (Jerome Johnson); his great grandchildren, Brilee Horne and Aubree Bracewell of Cochran; his brother Richard Williams (Meshia) of Swainsboro; and his sister-in-law Helga Cox of Milledgeville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Limestone Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
