Joe

Joe was born on October 7, 1954, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1972 to 1976 and was stationed in Germany.

He owned a “Cheers” tavern before moving to Boulder City in 2004 with the love of his life, Marie Johanna Schumans, known as Mary, to be closer to his mother. Joe later worked as a heavy equipment instructor and retired as the Director of Security at Wynn Las Vegas.

An active member of the Boulder City Horsemen’s Association, he made many friends and found great joy riding his beloved horse, Milinda. He had a passion for gardening, traveling, playing his bass guitar, scuba diving, and fishing. His love for young people and his genuine kindness touched everyone who knew him.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and his daughter, Remy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories in the hearts of his family and friends.
