Jody Lynn Angstead

Jody Lynn Angstead, age 73, passed away on March 11, 2026, in Bountiful, Utah. Born on September 7, 1952, in Ogden, Utah, to Roger and Elaine Grant, Jody lived a life centered on creativity, service, and family.

She married Steven Angstead on September 1, 2008. Jody found great joy in baking and cooking for family, friends, and neighbors. She was a gifted seamstress who sewed clothing, blankets, and quilts as gifts, and her cross-stitching was admired by all who saw it. A talented singer, she shared her voice at church and many community events. She also had a deep passion for interior decorating and design. Within her church community, Jody served as a music director and teacher and as a devoted Relief Society leader.

Above all, Jody was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who filled her home with warmth and welcome. She is survived by her husband, Steven Angstead; her sons Brandon and Shauna Rust of Centerville, Aaron and Jessica Rust of Sandy, and Deric and Elizabeth Rust of Bountiful; her grandchildren Phoebe, Alex, River, Cooper, Edison, Huxley, Stella, and Maggie; and her great-grandchildren Landon and Annabelle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Elaine Grant, and her sister, Nancy Kimball.
