He had been a resident of Van for 35 years and was well known for his dedication to his children and to the youth of the community. During his children's younger years, Jody spent countless hours coaching youth sports. He coached football, baseball, soccer, basketball, and softball, and made a lasting impact on many young athletes through his encouragement, patience, and love of the game.Jody passed away at the age of 74 on March 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Ray and Oscar Kline, and his sister, Alice Armstrong.Jody is survived by his three children, Dustin Motes, Connor Kline, and Kaitlin Smith; his sister, Margaret Taylor; and his seven grandchildren, Beau, Kegen, Landyn, Lorlei, Ellie, Oliver, and Cooper.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
