It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jobe Wardlaw (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Wardlaw and Johnsie Ree Wardlaw; his daughter Celeste Renee Wardlaw; his siblings, Debra Jean Shealey and Cleveland White Jr.; his grandson Jay'miere Wardlaw; his niece MaShaunda Rice; and his friends, Eric Boykin and Gregory McKinney.

He is survived by: his wife Tangier Celeste Wharton Wardlaw "Lett"; his children, Jobe Wardlaw II (Larissa Wardlaw), Savaar Wardlaw, Lia Wardlaw, Joi Beverly (Cortez Beverly Sr.), Jade Wardlaw and Kevin White; his grandchildren, Taj (Eudora), Jaden, Cortez Jr., Elijah, Bennie, Sophie, Joy, Lisa, Na'Liah, Heavenli Joi, Sanaa, Na'Kita and Savannah; his great grandchild Kaine Beverly; and his cousins, Philip Portis and Fiorello "Mac" Portis (Delissa Portis).

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rhoden Memorial (1101 Palmetto Ave, Akron, OH 44306). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
