JOAQUIN ALATORRE VALDEZ

Joaquin Valdez was born on July 7, 1929, in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Camilo Valdez and Josefina Alatorre, and was welcomed into Heaven's Gate on March 7, 2026, in Poway, CA.

Joaquin was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, compadre, and friend to many.  He will be remembered for the love he has shown throughout his life.  His love for watching the Dodgers and scratching lotto tickets were his favorite pastimes.  He also worked at Thoro'Bred for over 40 years.  He loved all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren so much and was looking forward to being with his wife Marina, to tell her all about them.

Joaquin leaves behind his loving family: Daughters: Marina (Jim) and Josie (Al), Sons: Jack and John (Eloise), Grandchildren: Jimmy, Danny, Stephanie, Kristie, and Stephan, Great-Grandchildren: Christopher, Bella, Christian, Ava, Ryan, Allie, Evan, Addie, and Everly, along with other family and friends who knew him.

A reception will follow the graveside service.
