Joanne Victoria Kirby (Garlick), born October 14, 1954, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.
Joanne dedicated her life to her loved ones and was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time in her backyard tending to her garden and feeding the squirrels she adored. Joanne had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent at the beach, where she felt most at peace. Above all, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by her family.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Nichole Kirby, Kellie Kirby, and William (Kelsie) Kirby lll ; her grandchildren, Megan, Michael, Abigail, Kylie, and Isabella and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Hildreth-Reed, Raymond Frederick Garlick, Donald Garlick, Daniel Garlick, Michael Garlick, Christine Garlick, and Pamela Nicholson.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Jasmine Leigh; her siblings, Marianne Downey, Evelyn Turner, and Timothy Garlick; and her first and second husbands, William Kirby ll and Glen Calkins.
Joanne’s love for her family was unwavering, and her legacy of compassion, strength, and devotion will live on through all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
