She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Loranger and Paulette Loranger (LeBlond). She is survived by: her husband David Canning; her daughter Samantha Armiger (Craig); her siblings, Raymond Loranger (Kim) and Patricia Huot (Richard); and her grandchildren, Felix and Eloise.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cote Funeral Home Chapel (87 James St, Saco, ME 04072). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (178 Elm St, Biddeford, ME 04005). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Cemetery (120 West St, Biddeford, ME 04005).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the American Kidney Fund in Joanne's name.
