Joanne M. Wilson

Joanne M. Wilson, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully with her sisters by her side on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Lakehouse Assisted Living in Sheboygan. Born on January 25, 1945, in Sheboygan to Cletus and Marjorie (Kellner) Zohlen, Joanne graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1963. She pursued nursing education at Marshfield Hospital and went on to work for many years with the VNA in Milwaukee. In September 1970, she married Charles Benjamin Wilson at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple shared 35 years together before moving to Antigo after his retirement, where Joanne continued her nursing career. In 2005, she returned to Sheboygan to care for her mother.

Joanne was a woman of strong faith and remained an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, where she found joy in her involvement with the St. Ann’s Society.

She is survived by her three sisters, Mary Lange of Sheboygan Falls, Ruth (Gary) McLaws of Sheboygan, and Jean Klahn of Hillsboro, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, brothers-in-law James Lange and Terry Cox, nephew Jason Lange, and great-niece Andrea Kraus.
