Hosting family and friends around her table was one of her greatest pleasures. Whether preparing a thoughtfully crafted meal or creating an inviting atmosphere in her home, Joanne had a natural gift for making others feel welcome and cared for.She possessed a keen eye for design and an exceptional sense of style. Joanne had beautiful taste and took great pride in creating spaces that reflected elegance, comfort, and creativity. Her appreciation for aesthetics extended into many areas of her life, including the performing arts, which she loved deeply. Musical theater, ballroom dance, and the world of performance brought her great joy and inspiration.In her younger years, Joanne embraced opportunities to travel and explore new places. These experiences shaped her perspective and added to the rich tapestry of stories and memories she carried throughout her life.Professionally, Joanne found success in the print and advertising industry. Her career was marked by dedication and creativity, with one of her proudest professional highlights being her work connected to the 1996 Olympic Games. Her contributions reflected her talent, determination, and passion for her craft.Joanne's journey took her from California to Nevada, where she spent many meaningful years building her career and life. In retirement, she made the heartfelt decision to move to first Georgia and then Mississippi so she could be closer to her daughter and grandchildren, a role she cherished deeply. Being present for her family and sharing in the everyday moments of their lives brought her immense happiness.Joanne will be remembered for her wit, creativity, and generous spirit. She had a way of making life feel special, whether through a beautifully prepared meal, a thoughtfully designed space, or a shared moment of laughter and love.She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; one daughter, McKenna Rose and her husband Eliot Rendleman of Oxford; two grandchildren: Jackson Rendleman and Carson Rendleman of Oxford; one sister, Mary Ellen Cook and her husband Donald of San Carlos, California; one niece, Paige Bennett of Burlingame, California and one grand-niece, Gabriella Perez of Los Angeles,California.The loved ones who departed from this life include; her parents, Fredrick and Edith Cunha; and one brother, Fred "Fritz" Cunha.In place of traditional flowers, the family has requested that donations be given to 'Keep Tahoe Blue', an organization devoted to preserving Lake Tahoe, by clicking on the following link: https://www.keeptahoeblue.org/give/The staff at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is honored to serve the family during this challenging season of life.
