With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnne Kellam (Portsmouth, Virginia), who passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As JoAnne departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though JoAnne may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy JoAnne leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Verna Kellam, and Leonard T. Kellam, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister LaVerne Kellam LaTouche (Thomas LaTouche) of Elkton, VA; her nieces, Christine LaTouche Merica (Joey) and Laura LaTouche (Donald Simmons); and her cousins, Vicky Smith Parsons (late Larry), Donna Cox Vick (late Jesse) and Dianne Spence Ferebee (late Ralph).

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Olive Branch Cemetery (2 Cpl J M Williams Ave, Portsmouth, VA 23701).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association.
