Joanne DeHart

Joanne DeHart, 70, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on September 3, 1955, in New York, she built a career as a cosmetologist and business owner in Fairport, New York. Later, she returned to New Jersey to care for her mother, Vincenzia Perez, demonstrating a deep and unwavering devotion that defined her final years. Vincenzia passed away on January 12, 2025.

In addition to caring for her mother, Joanne became an active member of the Saint Michael’s Marshalls motorcycle club. She participated in rallies, parades, and community events, and contributed to the club’s many charitable and fundraising efforts.

Joanne is survived by her brothers Larry Mew, John Mew, and Edward Mew, and her sister-in-law Lisa Mew; her nephew Ed Mew; her nieces Taylor Mew of Netcong, Rachel Smith and her husband Dave, and their children Dominic, Devon, and Jade; Ashley Chiappa and her husband Mike, and their children Roman and Nico; and extended family members Greg and Joy Rudy Monacchio. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Vincenzia Perez of Hackettstown, and her brothers Anthony Perez, William Mew, and Joseph Perez.
