Joanne Boling Marshall
February 6, 1938— March 9, 2026
Siler City, NC
Joanne Boling Marshall of Siler City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on February 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Marvin J. Boling and Mattie Mae Dark Boling.
After graduating from Siler City High School, Joanne attended Pfeiffer College for one year. In 1957 she married Bobby G. Marshall, and together they raised a family. Once her children were in elementary school, she returned to college at UNC-G, where she earned a B.A. in accounting and became a CPA. After gaining experience in the field, she opened her own successful accounting practice in Siler City, which she operated until her retirement.
Joanne’s deep religious faith anchored her life. Her calm and peaceful demeanor created a warm and hospitable home and reflected a generous spirit. She found community and fellowship in several churches over the years, most recently at Siler City Presbyterian Church.
Her children and grandchildren remained the central joy of her life. She is survived by her four children, Jay (Judi) Marshall of Greens Fork, Indiana, Kelly Marshall, Dee Brady, and Jeanne (Wayne) Lamb, all of Siler City; her grandchildren Kailee, Carson, and Kinley Lamb; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion, Misty. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 33 years, her infant son Robert D. Marshall, her granddaughter Claire Brady Campbell, her older brother Ronald J. Boling, and her twin sister Judy Boling Stanford.
