JoAnn Redfearn Fondren

JoAnn Redfearn Fondren, age 81, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on April 27, 1944, in Texarkana to Eunice Jewell Redfearn and James Redfearn, she lived a life centered on home and family.

JoAnn found deep joy in tending her garden, sewing, and preparing meals for those she loved. Above all, she cherished her role as a homemaker. Those who knew her spoke of her loving and kind heart, reflected in a servant’s spirit and a selfless character. A faithful and dedicated member of First Baptist Church Texarkana, she lived her faith quietly and consistently.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Fondren, Jr. She is survived by her children, Trena Price of Texarkana, Texas, and Rhonda Clark and husband Dale of Texarkana, Arkansas; her sisters, Helen Green of Texarkana, Arkansas, and LaWanah Tefteller of Texarkana, Arkansas; four grandchildren, April Price Holley, James T. Clark, Dayne Clark, and Ashley Prudhomme; and seven great-grandchildren, Layla Holley, Liv Holley, Elli Holley, Maggie Clark, Lucy Clark, Myla Prudhomme, and Zayne Prudhomme.
