Hilliard, OH

JoAnn Price (Frazier) age 86, beloved wife of Larry Price for 65 years, passed peacefully on February 28, 2026 in Hilliard, Ohio.

Born on December 13, 1939, in Gallipolis, Ohio, JoAnn moved to Columbus as a young child. She attended West High School and later graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Elementary Education. JoAnn devoted many years to teaching first grade, sharing the love for reading with her students at Maranatha Christian School (Columbus, OH) and Beacon Elementary School in Hilliard, Ohio.

JoAnn and her high school sweetheart Larry married in 1960. Their marriage was a testament of their faith in the Lord and their commitment to one another. They shared a love of Florida and made Daytona Beach their permanent home upon retirement, where they enjoyed 23 years of sunshine, seaside living, and time together at the beach. They shared each other’s hobbies as well and spent many hours watching baseball games including several vacations covering every Major League baseball stadium. Most importantly JoAnn and Larry shared a deep commitment to their faith and service to others. JoAnn was a devoted member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio, Riverbend Church in Ormond Beach, Florida, and Northwest Chapel in Columbus, Ohio.

In 2023, JoAnn returned to Hilliard, Ohio, to be closer to her extended family and life-long friends.

JoAnn is survived by her loving husband, Larry Price; her children and grandchildren, son Mark Price (Linda); Micah, Noah, Elijah, Abigail, and Isaiah Price and son Tim Price (Cheryl); Sawyer, and Finley Price. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Liz Pennington-Burbridge and Carol (Dennis) George, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Her family will miss her presence, her delicious spaghetti sauce, and the time spent with her baking Christmas cookies—memories that will be lovingly carried on for generations. But we also know we will see her again in Heaven for to live is Christ but to die is gain.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Northwest Chapel (6700 Rings Road. Dublin, Ohio 43016).
