JoAnn M. Havel

1943 — 2026

Casco, WI

JoAnn M. Havel, 82, of Casco, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2026, just one week before her 83rd birthday. Born on March 19, 1943, to Joseph and Ethel (Duescher) Boulanger, she grew up with a deep sense of family and community that would shape her entire life.

In 1964, JoAnn married her high school sweetheart, Joe, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than six decades. After working as a secretary at Paper Converting in Green Bay, she devoted herself to raising their three children, Scott, Todd, and Pam. She found quiet joy in tending her gardens, sewing, tying quilts, and helping on the family farm. Each harvest, she carefully canned the produce from her garden so her family could enjoy it through the winter. In her later years, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, Paige, Tyler, Nicki, and Collin, whom she cherished deeply.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, Joseph Havel Jr.; her children, Pamela Sylvain of Chicago, Todd Havel of Sun Prairie, and Scott Havel of Seattle; her grandchildren, Tyler Havel, Paige Havel and Nathan, Nicolette Sylvain, and Collin Sylvain; and her sister, Susan Robb of Suamico. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph; her parents, Joseph and Ethel Boulanger; her brother, Henry “Butch” Boulanger; and her sisters, Sandra Boulanger and Patricia Naze.
