Joann "Street" Helton

Mrs. Joann Street Helton, age 72, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Johnson City, Tennessee. Born on July 25, 1953, in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Hassell and Hassie Shortridge Street. A lifelong resident of the area, Joann was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She devoted herself to making her house a home, caring for her family, and finding simple joy in going to yard sales.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Helton, in addition to her parents.

Joann is survived by her daughter, Lisa Grindstaff and husband Eric; two step-grandsons, Michael Grindstaff and Aaron Grindstaff; her siblings, Linda Keene and husband Cecil, and Garry Street and wife Dora; and several nephews.
