JoAnn Greene
September 23, 1941— March 5, 2026
Prescott, MI
JoAnn Greene passed away peacefully at her home on Lake Ogemaw on March 5, 2026, with her husband of thirty years, Daniel, by her side.
Born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to the late William Thomas and Emily Gwendolyn Neely Steele, JoAnn graduated from high school there before moving to Ohio. In 1989, while working for Allied Chemical in Ironton, she met Daniel Greene, an associate chiropractor living across the river in Ashland, Kentucky. They married on March 24, 1996, in West Bloomfield and later established D.E. Greene Family Chiropractic in Prescott, Michigan. For twenty-five years, JoAnn served as the devoted office overseer, managing daily operations while offering a compassionate ear and genuine concern to every patient who walked through the door.
Energetic and personable, JoAnn thrived in the company of others. She and Daniel shared a love for travel, especially to sunny destinations, and enjoyed boating on Lake Ogemaw and attending concerts together. At home she found joy in gardening, spending many contented hours tending her plants. A generous spirit, she quietly supported numerous local and national charities throughout her life.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Greene; son, Jeffrey (Diana) White; grandchildren, Joshua (Lisa) White, Sadie Loan, and Luke (Olivia) White; great-grandchildren Kolton Gustin, Olive and Graham Loan, Malachi and Judah White; and her sister, Janet Bond of Evans, Georgia. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Steve (Meryl) Greene, Ken (Daryl) Greene, and Eric Greene, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Phyllis Steele and Rachel Collins.
