Joann Gardner

Joann Gardner, 93, of Walnut Ridge, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge. Born on February 17, 1933, in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Emma Fry Carter. She was united in marriage to Eddie Gardner and spent her life as a skilled seamstress before later becoming a florist. A devoted homemaker, Joann was a longtime member of the Hoxie Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eddie, Joann is survived by her son, Robert (Becky) Gardner of Jonesboro; her daughter, Mary Ann (David) Foley of Powhatan; her grandson, Jason (Ty Bushart) Foley of Rogers; her granddaughters, LeAnne (Aaron) Teufel of Rogers and Jordan Gardner of Little Rock; and her three great-grandchildren, Grey Teufel, Hyatt Teufel, and Londyn Teufel, along with many other relatives and friends.

She will be remembered for her quiet dedication to her family and her craft, leaving behind a legacy of love and care that touched all who knew her.
