Olean — JoAnn F. Lewis, “Loving Mother and Grandmother”

JoAnn F. Lewis of Alder Court passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2026, with family and friends by her side.

Born on October 5, 1940, in Rochester, she was the daughter of Arthur F. and Lucille M. Fisher Foster. She was married to George E. Lewis, who predeceased her on July 16, 2018.

JoAnn earned her associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Jamestown Community College in 1982. She had a lifelong passion for music and was a singer with the band Western Dynamics, performing alongside her husband George from 1968 until 2018. She also worked for many years as a school bus driver for the Otto-Eldred School District.

JoAnn enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, but above all, music was her greatest joy. She cherished the time she spent performing and sharing that love with family and friends.

She is survived by her three children: Sherry A. (Alan) Moat, Corey S. (Becky) Creed, and Greg E. (Melody) Lewis; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her three sisters: Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Wilson, Cheryl J. Foster, and Deborah M. (Rich) Humby.

In addition to her husband George, JoAnn was predeceased by four children: Chad E. Creed, Charleen M. Rowand, Teresa L. Riehle, and Rodney R. Creed; a grandson, Nolan Riehle; and four siblings: Alene B. Smith, Arthur D. Foster, Judith C. Raskind, and Patricia L. Covey.

An intimate service will be held at the family's convenience. Arrangements are under the direction of Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean. Online condolences may be expressed at www.letromcintoshspinkfuneralhome.com.
