JoAnn Ard Hollifield

JoAnn Ard Hollifield, 83, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in High Point, North Carolina. Born on September 12, 1942, in Conway, South Carolina, she was a longtime resident of Archdale, North Carolina.

Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Wilson Ard and Velma Todd Ard, her husband of many years, Grady Lee Hollifield, who passed away in 2017, and her seven siblings, JoAnn is survived by her children, Karen Helms, Lisa Wilson and husband Rob, Brian Collins, Sharon Hunt and husband Gordon, Grady Lee Hollifield, Jr., and Gregory Lee Hollifield. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Ard and his wife Laura, along with 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A woman of deep Baptist faith, JoAnn found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially reading and watching television. She was a devoted fan of soap operas and particularly loved the show Heartland. Before her husband’s passing, she and Grady cherished their camping trips in the mountains with family. Above all, family was the center of her world. She delighted in spending time with her children and grandchildren, eagerly anticipating every gathering and holiday. Those who knew her will remember her kind and warm heart, as well as the feisty spirit that made her truly unforgettable.
