Joan Maier

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Maier (Saugerties, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joan left this world on March 7, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Blass and Caroline Sanger Blass; her former husband Andreas; her brother Charles Blass; her close friend George Turner; and her daughter-in-law Karyn Maier.

She is survived by: her sons, Christian (Kimberley) of Rochester and Andreas Maier of Catskill; her grandsons, Christian (Carolyn), Andreas Jr. (Lindsay), Eric (Christina), Michael and Aaron (Caitlin); and her great grandchildren, Rebecca, Julia, Oliver, Thomas, Haley, Ashley and Aiden.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home, Inc. (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM and at 4:00 PM.

Family suggests donations in her memory be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
