Joan Louise Molley

1931 — 2026

Plymouth, MI

Joan Louise Molley Lambert, 94, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 13, 2026. The only child of Joseph and Pauline Molley, Joan worked as a secretary, first at American Motors and later at Chrysler Corporation. In her fifties she married the love of her life, John (Jack) Lambert, and shared a devoted marriage with him until his death from cancer in 2011.

Together Joan and Jack enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Mexico. She remained active throughout her life, finding joy in walking, biking, and swimming, and took pride in learning to drive a stick shift in her seventies. A dedicated poll worker through the 2016 election, she held a deep passion for politics and was known as the best-dressed person at any gathering she attended.

Although Joan had no children of her own, she was deeply loved by a wide circle of close friends. She is especially remembered by her godson and his wife, John and Louise Ulrich, John’s sister Shawna Makielski, and her friend’s daughter Laura Simms.

In keeping with her wishes, contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to Angela Hospice of Livonia, Michigan, or through acts of volunteer service to a charity of one’s choice.
