Joan (Brown) Jamgochian

Joan (Brown) Jamgochian, age 89 of Monroeville, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Forbes Regional Hospital. Born in Glenshaw on October 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Paul F. and Barbara (Barron) Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul F. Brown, Jr., and her daughter-in-law, Leslie Barrett.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband, Michael G. Jamgochian; her son, Michael (Lesa Bassham) W. Jamgochian; her daughters, Susan (Jim) Wright and Donna M. Jamgochian; her grandson, Michael J. Wright; her bonus daughter, Carol Fugger; her sister, Barbara (Brown) Emmett; her brother-in-law, Ken Emmett; her nephews, Brian (Anjie) Emmett and Todd Emmett; and her great-nieces, Maggie and Rosie Emmett. A longtime member of the Ladies of Charity at St. Bernadette in Monroeville, Joan generously supported Edmarc Children’s Hospice by crocheting baby blankets and hats, and she created afghans for Stitched in Prayer.

She will be remembered for her quiet kindness, devoted service, and the gentle love she shared with her family and community.
