Weaver, 94, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, March 12 , 2026, at Garden Spot Communities of Akron (Maple Farm).She was born in Denver, daughter of the late Clyde M. and Elizabeth (Rock) Eberly and was the wife of the late Homer P. Weaver who passed away in 2019. They shared 66 years of marriage.JoAn was a caring and gracious person, always ready to provide a helping hand, share a kind word, or offer a bit of encouragement. She was happiest when in the company of her extended family, whether at home, at the cottage, or during many shared family vacations. JoAn had a wide range of interests and skills including sewing, American history, arts and crafts, baking, antiques, and family genealogy. She was especially skilled at ceramics, creating and sharing her work with family at every holiday. JoAn was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church.JoAn was a 1949 graduate of Denver High School. She also attended the McCann School of Business. She worked as a secretary for Cocalico Middle School and volunteered at the Ephrata Cloister.JoAn is survived by two daughters, Sue Ann, wife of Joseph Augustine, Elaine, wife of Roy Rakiewicz; four grandchildren, Jared Augustine, husband of Nicole, Elizabeth, wife of Brian Parker, Alina Rakiewicz, wife of Dave Landis, Tara Rakiewicz, wife of Nolan Bixler; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Galen Eberly, husband of Grace.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ursula Long.A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10 to 11 AM at the Faith United Lutheran Church, 357 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM, with Pastor Marissa Becklin officiating.
