Joan D. Stebbins

Joan D. Stebbins, 87, of Plainville, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Southington Care Center. Born on April 9, 1938, in Bristol, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Stebbins III and Lillian (Whitman) Stebbins. A longtime Bristol resident, Joan moved to Plainville 15 years ago.

She worked as an assembler for Gems Sensors for many years before retiring. Joan found joy in playing cards, creating crafts, and dancing. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, creating wonderful memories that they will always hold dear.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Stebbins of Plainville; her brother, David Stebbins of South Windsor; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by three siblings: Richard Stebbins, Ruth Lockshire, and Ellen Kirschner.
