Joan Ann Semenza

Joan Ann Semenza, age 83, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born on June 30, 1942, in New Rochelle Hospital to Lillian and Alfred Esposito, Joan attended St. Gabriel’s High School and later graduated from Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing in Connecticut. She began her career as a nurse before spending many years as a respected real estate agent, known for her dedication and hard work.

Above all, Joan cherished her family and the time spent with those she loved. She will be remembered for her humor, generosity, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Those who knew her will carry the many moments of laughter, support, and shared memories she created throughout the years.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Ronald J. Semenza, and her sister, Carole White. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Oplustil, and her husband, Kaz Oplustil, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Lily and Chance, whom she affectionately called “Chancey.” Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
