Joan A. Funk

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan A. Funk of Farmington, New Hampshire, who passed away at the age of 83, on March 7, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Joan departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joan. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Matteson and Ruth Matteson; her brothers, John Matteson (Jack) and Chester Matteson (Chet); and her son Donovan Funk.

She is survived by: her sons, David Funk (Diane) of Farmington, NH and Michael Funk (Susan) of Rochester, NH. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (400 Main St, Farmington, NH 03835).
