She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles McDaniel and Minnie McDaniel (Combes); her husband Don Danks; her grandson Jayden Danks; her sister Sharon Miller; and her nieces, Lydia Wisner and Heather Wisner.

She is survived by: her sons, Scott Danks (Nancy) of Newton and Steve Danks of Richland; her grandchildren, Kayla Hammons, Jordan Danks, Zoie Danks (Chase Maddison) and Lybie Danks (Michael Torres); her great grandchildren, Camren, Vada and Rose; and her sisters, Margaret Rebik (Sam) of Gilman, Helen Panknen of Grinnell and Pauline Nelson (Jim) of Searsboro.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials to the Newton Arboretum may be left at the funeral home during the service.
