Jitendra V. Kapadia, 79, of South Brunswick Township, New Jersey, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 26, 1946, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, he brought the warmth and richness of his Indian heritage to his life in the United States. A dedicated respiratory therapist, he cared for others throughout his career, retiring in 2012 from Rahway Hospital in Rahway, New Jersey. Known for his quick smile, twinkling eyes, and generous spirit, Jitendra was a smart and supportive presence who was always ready to offer a helping hand or gentle words of wisdom.

Beyond his professional life, Jitendra found joy in simple pleasures. He remained a passionate fan of cricket, often sharing fond memories of matches from his homeland. He loved good food, his face lighting up at the sight of favorite dishes prepared by his family. An avid photographer, he captured the beauty of everyday moments with a keen and appreciative eye, reflecting his deep love for life and the people around him.

He was the beloved husband of the late Hansa Kapadia. Jitendra is survived by his children, Falgun and Purvi, his sons-in-law, Nishit Shah and Nayan Jethva, and his cherished grandchildren, Rohan Shah, Rahul Shah, Jay Jethva, and Jia Jethva. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vadilal and Lilavati Kapadia, and his wife, Hansa Kapadia.
