Jimmy Ray Ketcher

May 23, 1959 March 10, 2026

Eufaula, OK

Jimmy Ray Ketcher was born on May 23, 1959, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to William Albert Ketcher and Francis Earline (Thurman) Ketcher. He passed away on March 10, 2026, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, at the age of 66.

Jimmy found deep satisfaction in the quiet rhythms of ranch life. He spent many years training and caring for horses, an endeavor that brought him genuine pride and joy. Music was another enduring passion; an accomplished guitarist and drummer, he held a special love for the music of Elvis Presley and often spoke of his dream of visiting Graceland one day.

Those who knew him will remember Jimmy as playful, funny, and soft-spoken, a man with a gentle spirit who treasured time spent with his family. He took particular pride in his grandchildren and cherished every moment shared with them, whether telling stories, sharing laughter, or simply being together.

Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Rainy Dey Tidwell Galaviz, and her husband, Juan Galaviz. He was a proud grandfather to Lorenzo Tidwell, Ana Galaviz, and Alonzo Galaviz, and a loving great-grandfather to newborn Gabriel Tidwell. He is also survived by his sister, Joy Ketcher Swepston, and her husband, Larry, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Albert Ketcher and Francis Earline (Thurman) Ketcher, and his siblings, William Ketcher Jr., David Ketcher, Brenda Ketcher Miller, and Bobby Ann Ketcher Pack. The family wishes to thank his sister, Joy Ketcher Swepston, his nephew William Fowler, Patricia Ketcher, and Daniel for their devoted care and support.

Jimmy will be remembered for his gentle nature, his love of music and horses, and the laughter he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
