Jimmy Gordon "Jay" Adams, Jr.

Jimmy Gordon “Jay” Adams, Jr., 54, of Henderson, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on March 17, 1971, in Escambia County, Florida, he was the son of the late Aline Thompson Adams and Jimmy Gordon Adams. Jay worked as an insurance agent at the former Citizens Insurance Agency and was a longtime member of the former City Road United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Rivers Adams; his son, Jimmy Gordon “Trey” Adams, III; his daughter, Leanne Adams Harris and her husband Logan; his sister, Edie Adams Cantagallo of Lake Worth, Florida; his father-in-law, Malvin Rivers; his sister-in-law, Tracy Adams; his uncle, Raymond Adams of Williamsburg, Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ray “Donnie” Adams, and his mother-in-law, Patricia Hanford Rivers.
