Jimmy Dale Cross, 77, of Bokchito, Oklahoma, passed away on March 11, 2026, at his home. Born on March 30, 1948, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to James Mitchell Cross and Bulah Elizabeth (Roy) Cross, Jimmy lived a life marked by quiet strength and dedication.
A carpenter for most of his working years, Jimmy also served his country with honor in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 and again from 1974 to 1975. A Vietnam veteran, he earned the Vietnam Campaign Medal, two Overseas Bars, the Marksman M-14 award, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son James Ray Cross on June 17, 2004, and his siblings David, Daisy, and Jane. Jimmy is survived by his best friend, Sarah Ann Haddock of Bokchito; his sister, Frankie Lewis of Blue, Oklahoma; his brother, Jerrell Roy of Waco, Texas; his cousins Mark McIninch and B.J. McIninch; and many other family members and friends.
