Jimmy Bailes

Jimmy Bailes, age 69, of Patrick, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Born on February 14, 1957, in York, South Carolina, Jimmy was the son of the late Roy H. Bailes, Sr. and Martha Jane Snipes Bailes. He lived a quiet life rooted in the communities he knew and loved, surrounded by a large and close-knit family.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Freeman Bailes; his siblings, Faye Johnson, Leigh Burrell (Randy), Ann Griffin (Wayne), Barbara Singletary (Paul), Bobby Bailes, Roy Bailes, Jr. (Darlene), and Marvin Bailes (Cathy); his special friend, Lois Bailes; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine Dover, and his brothers, Billy Bailes, Red Bailes, and Johnny Bailes.
