James “Jim” R. Henry, aged 79, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on March 12, 2026. A lifelong athlete, Jim was an avid softball player who earned induction into the Columbus Softball Hall of Fame, a distinction that reflected his passion and skill in the sport he loved.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Stewart, granddaughter Hillary Stewart, parents Charles and Virginia Henry, and many siblings. Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lois Henry; his children, Cheri (Don) Luzader, Jim (Kim) Henry, and Andrea (Matt) Schaffer; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; son-in-law Randall Stewart; and other loving relatives.
Those who knew Jim will remember a man deeply devoted to his family and to the game that brought him such joy. His legacy lives on through the many generations he leaves behind.
