He was predeceased by: his wife Daisy Mae Mulkey; his son Jim Mulkey (Jimmy); his mother Lois Uren; his grandson Kevin James Shelton; and his sister JoAnn Uren.

He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Shelton (Anthony), Yvonne Painter and Jana; his grandson Anthony Shelton (Jill); his great grandchildren, Talon Shelton, Josh Painter (Christy), Addie Painter, Bentley Painter and Olivia Kate Painter; his brother Frank Mulkey; and his stepbrothers, Carlos and Glenn Uren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Williamson & Sons Funeral Home (8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
